Spicy Shrimp Dip

Ingredients

10 cups water
2 tbsp Creole Seasoning (I used Tony Chachere’s Original)
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

In a large pot, bring water and seasoning to a boil. Add shrimp and let them cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. When they turn completely pink they are done. Drain them, let them cool and chop.

1/2 cup mayo
1 tsp of Creole Seasoning
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp of hot sauce
8 oz of whipped cream cheese, softened a little

Instructions

Combine all ingredients but the shrimp and stir until smooth. Fold in the chopped shrimp completely. Cover and let it chill for at least 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.

*** You can buy the already made shrimp cocktail at the store and use those if you don’t want to fool with cooking the shrimp yourself. You may just want to add a little more Creole seasoning to the dip, though. You’ll just have to taste it and adjust the heat to what you like.
